When the Selway Bitterroot Frank Church Foundation was selected to receive a brand makeover courtesy of Drake Cooper’s Dream Big contest, I was tasked with addressing their website needs. The old website, although extremely thorough, was deemed dense and full of jargon. More importantly, it failed to advertise the volunteer opportunities in a way that would appeal to the potential audience. By aggressively refocusing the copy in an exciting, hopeful, and adventurous tone, I helped change the website strategy and used the platform to spread information and drive action. Clear call-to-actions in the top bar ensured that users were pushed to desired outcomes, and the clean, responsive design was improved by my use of custom CSS to better fit our vision.
